Dr. Pedro Ramos received his MD degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Florida in 2005. He joined the UCSD hospitalist program in 2006 after a year as a community hospitalist in Fullerton Ca.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Ramos has an interest in quality improvement and has worked on glycemic control both locally and nationally, serving as a mentor to hospitals throughout the nation through Society of Hospital Medicine's Glycemic Implementation Program. He received additional training in quality improvement through the Intermountain Healthcare Advanced training program. He also heads the division's Peer Review committee, and he is the Director of the Division's Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program.
