Dr. Jonathan McIntyre has been an Academic Hospitalist since August, 2016. Prior to this, he was an Internal Medicine resident at Columbia University - New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. His academic interests include improving antimicrobial stewardship. Dr. McIntyre is a member of the Antimicrobial Utilization Committee and also a member of a task-force looking at ways to decrease the unnecessary use of Vancomycin in patients with pneumonia. He also participates in didactic teaching sessions for third year Internal Medicine clerkship students. Dr. McIntyre has also completed the Junior Faculty Development Program.
His hobbies include taking advantage of all the wonderful things San Diego has to offer including hiking and beaches. He also enjoys traveling internationally.
