The UC San Diego Divison of Hospital Medicine fellowship is a one-year program designed to strengthen knowledge and skills essential for a successful career in academic hospital medicine. The focus is developing core skills in quality improvement techniques, scholarship, medical education, and leadership. The curriculum is delivered through intense mentoring, class course work, hands-on teaching, and participation in quality improvement and scholarly projects. The fellowship also includes direct patient care (teach and non-teach shifts). This is a non-ACGME fellowship.
