Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (CCEP) Fellowship Program

The UCSD CCEP fellowship is a two-year ACGME accredited program, which provides a comprehensive training experience in all aspects of clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Our fellows graduate from the UCSD CCEP program with a high degree of competence in management of patients with supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, and implantable devices. Each year the program recruits to two open fellowship positions. Research training in CCEP is also available at UCSD, but it may require additional training experience and time commitment.

Applications to our CCEP program must now be made through ERAS

between July 1 and December 31 and will be reviewed in January immediately thereafter.

Invitations to interview will be sent out by mid-February.

Our interview dates will be in March and April each year.

Due to the number of applicants who apply to our program, we currently do not sponsor J-1 or H-1B visas.

Applicants, after their interviews, will be ranked and accepted through the National Resident Matching Program.

In the application through ERAS, we require the following documentation.

  • Common Application
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Minimum of three letters of recommendation (Internal Medicine Program Director, Cardiology Program Director, Cardiology Attending)
