UC San Diego participates in the ERAS application program. You may access the ERAS website at
https://students-residents.aamc.org/training-residency-fellowship/applying-fellowships-eras/ to learn more about the application process and apply.
Our program does participate in the National Resident Match Program. Therefore, interviews will be held between September and early November, with selections completed by the Match deadlines and placement completed by December 2020.
Your application to the UC San Diego Division of Geriatrics Fellowship Program must include the following.
- Personal Statement
- Program Director’s Letter and two letters of recommendation
- Deans Letter
- Medical School Transcripts
- USMLE Transcripts and ECFMG Status Report (Foreign Medical Graduates)
- Valid California Medical License (to be obtained by the start of fellowship)
We currently do not accept applicants with H-1B visas.
Also note that pursuant to policies of the ACGME, of the UC San Diego (UCSD) Graduate Medical Education Committee and of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), applicants must receive documentation regarding the Terms and Conditions of Appointment to UCSD GME Training Programs.
