The Center supports training and education in the form of co-hosting journal clubs and lecture series, as well as workshops and conferences.
The Center co-sponsors with the
Center for Integrative Medicine an Integrative Medicine Journal Club in the Medical Education - Telemedicine (MET) building. Attendees review articles on integrative medicine topics published in peer reviewed scientific journals. Peer reviewed journal articles on topics in integrative health are presented and discussed by UC San Diego medical students, naturopathic medical students, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and faculty, as well as nurses, acupuncturists, Chinese medicine practitioners and nutritionists. The goal of the Journal Club is to connect individuals from allopathic medical backgrounds, integrative practitioners and researchers to discuss the latest integrative medicine research.
