Meeting the Needs of Undeserved and Vulnerable Populations

The UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic Project is nationally recognized and serves as a model and a training ground for health professional students, faculty, and community leaders countrywide who are seeking to better meet the needs of underserved and vulnerable populations.

We are committed to a model of education that is empowering and respectful of the learner -- including patients, students, faculty, and community leaders.

Our national faculty development programs "Addressing the Health Needs of the Underserved" and "Addressing the Oral Health Needs of the Underserved" have now trained more than 200 faculty physicians and 50 faculty dentists from all over the country.
