Binh Ly, MD is the Emergency Medicine Vice-Chair of Education and Medical Toxicology Fellowship Director at UC San Diego. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at UCSF-Fresno and fellowship training in Medical Toxicology at UC San Diego and has been a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego since 1999. In addition to being a reviewer for major publications in the fields of emergency medicine, toxicology, and pharmacology, Dr. Ly is the Editor for the Pharmacology Section of the Journal of Emergency Medicine (JEM) and is a member of the JEM's editorial board. His scholarly work includes authorship of numerous chapters in major textbooks in the specialties of emergency medicine and toxicology. His areas of interest include drugs of abuse, poisonous mushrooms, cardiovascular toxicology, ethanol withdrawal, and marine toxins. Publications
