Dr Daniel Landry is originally form the small town of Caraquet in New Brunswick, Canada. Studied and worked as a physical therapist before joining the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). After a few years of practice, decided to embark on a new challenge and graduated from medical school and completed a residency in Family Medicine in Ottawa, Canada. Started his medical practice in the Canadian Forces in 2012.
He completed the Flight Surgeon and Advanced Dive Medical Officer courses offered by the Canadian Forces School of Operational Medicine in Toronto, ON and developed a passion for dive and hyperbaric medicine. Also completed the CAF Submarine Medicine curriculum in Halifax, NS, Canada in 2015. Sailed as Medical Officer onboard a Canadian vessel for a Joined Operation in the Pacific and participated in various military exercises in Canada and the US.
CAPT Landry left the position of Base Surgeon (senior medical authority) at 42 Health Svc Center - CFB Gagetown, to complete a fellowship in hyperbaric and dive medicine at UCDS and a master’s degree in public health. Outside interest include mountain biking, paragliding and astronomy.
