Dr. Cynthia Koh grew up in Indiana, 1 hour outside of Chicago, where her playground was a private cornfield. At age 15 her family pulled up roots and moved to sunny Southern California, where she got her BS in Psychobiology with a minor in French from UCLA before heading back to Illinois for medical school and residency. She returned to perma-warmth with great excitement to complete a Toxicology fellowship, and gets particularly intrigued by plant toxicology, addiction, and the social impact of toxicology. Outside of work, she loves all things music (yes, including country, although not much past 1970), food, and design. She will also almost always say yes if you ask her to go see a movie.
