Dr. Ariel Bowman is originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts. After getting her undergraduate degree in Literature from Yale University, she spent four years working in New York as a costume designer for film and theatre before doing a post-bacc at Goucher College and attending medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to medical school she spent a year working with Partners in Health on MDR-TB in Lima, Peru and remains interested in international health, access to care, and working with underserved patient populations. She came to the West Coast for residency, completing her training in Emergency Medicine at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident of Education in her final year. Outside of the ED, she enjoys cooking, reading, running, and world travel adventures.
