Dr. Lisa Lowe (Hiller) completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst majoring in Kinesiology and with a minor in French language. She went on to do a Masters degree in Public Health with a focus on International and Environmental Health at the UCLA and then completed her medical degree at the UC Davis. Dr. Lowe did residency here at the UC San Diego acting as Chief Resident in her final year, and is now working towards a fellowship with our Ultrasound Division. Her academic interests include International Health and border health issues and she hopes to utilize her ultrasound skills to bring educational and diagnostic opportunities to underserved communities in the future. Dr. Lowe also works at Sharp Memorial Hospital part time and has worked part time in the community since graduation and feels this has helped round out her medical knowledge and skills. She is married to Dr. Luke Hiller, Bone Radiologist at UCSD and the VA systems and has two children Kai, age 9 and Lana age 7. In her free time, she enjoys travel, surfing, yoga and running and she is fluent in French and Spanish.
