Dr. Rich Childers grew up in Loveland, Colorado. After graduating medical school, he spent 15 years in the Navy, during which time he practiced Emergency Medicine in San Diego, Guam, Memphis, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His academic interests include military medical policy, economic market design, and health care services overuse. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, as well as upgrading his suburban tract home with various “green” additions including solar power, a gray-water irrigation system, and a compost pit.
