Jenna grew up in Escondido, CA, and attended the University of California, Irvine, on academic scholarship. She performed modern and contemporary dance professionally for 2 years in New York City, including international performances in Turkey, before beginning medical school at Columbia University in New York City. Jenna completed residency at Temple University Hospital in North Philadelphia, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing that inner city population, including challenges related to drugs of abuse and the opioid epidemic. Jenna completed several published case reports and developed retrospective and prospective IRB studies in the field of opioid abuse. She assisted in the development of a take-home ED naloxone distribution program at the TUH ED. In her spare time, Jenna enjoys outdoor athletic activities (mostly following her boyfriend up exposed rock faces on ropes), camping, drawing and painting.
