Dr. Di Nardo’s research focuses on the innate immune system and particularly on mast cells and their role in infections and autoimmunity.
Dr. Anna Di Nardo is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology, at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Di Nardo completed her MD at the University of Pavia in Italy and her PhD (Skin Immunology & Allergy) at the University of Modena in Italy. She completed her residency in dermatology at the University of Modena in Italy and two fellowships (skin barrier at UC San Francisco and antimicrobial peptides at UC San Diego).
Her special interests in general dermatology, melanoma, mole mapping and digital dermoscopy. Dr. Di Nardo established the pigmented lesion clinic at UC San Diego. She runs and supervises the High Risk Pigmented Lesion Clinic; she utilizes and instructs on Mole Mapping and Digital Dermoscopy.
