Faculty Small Group Discussions:
We would also like to invite faculty from outside DBMI that students know who would provide new, interesting, or helpful information for informatics research.
Attending faculty will provide a brief (3-5 minute) presentation on their research. Then students will rotate in small groups among the faculty to discuss their research. Please let us know of any faculty you would like us to invite.
This retreat will take place in the Martin Johnson House at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, which is accessible by campus shuttle.
In the morning we will have an optional hike at Torrey Pines State Beach.
During the day, there will be a light breakfast, lunch, and optional social reflection time at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel, across the street from the Pangea parking lot.
Dietary restrictions are taken into consideration. There will be dairy free, gluten free, nut free and vegan options for the breakfast, snacks and lunch.
