We use mouse genetics, cell culture, and bioinformatic tools to study neuronal development and neurodegeneration. Current studies include nuclear receptor-dependent differentiation of cerebellar Purkinje cells, genetic pathways for suppressing mutations induced by an endogenous retrovirus by manipulating an mRNA processing mechanism and genetic analysis of tremor.
