CMM Core Facilities
The
GlycoAnalytics Core was established in 1993 to provide access to the specialized technical expertise necessary for glycan analysis to investigators from a wide variety of disciplines. Expanded services now include analysis of glycosaminoglycans, sialic acids and N- and O-glycans.
The
UCSD Human Stem Cell Core Facility, located on the second floor of CMM-East, is an integral component of the university’s commitment to support and expand Human Embryonic Stem Cell (hESC) research. The laboratory, under the direction of Karl Willert, Ph.D., maintains, stores and characterizes a number of established human embryonic stem cell lines. In addition, scientists from around UCSD can receive training in the basic techniques and methodologies of hESC research. The goal of this core facility is to help researchers incorporate the hESC as a novel model system into their own research program.
Electron Microscopy Core Services, located on the second floor of the George Palade Laboratories Building, under the direction of Marilyn Farquhar, Ph.D. For more information regarding services available, contact Timo Meerloo at (858) 534-5324.
