We are pleased to invite you to the 2018 Southern California Regional Dissemination, Implementation & Improvement (DII) Science Symposium. This year’s symposium will take place on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the California Endowment in downtown Los Angeles. Our theme is “Creating Learning Health and Population Health Systems.” Host institutions include the Clinical and Translational Science Institutes at UCLA, USC, UC San Diego, UCI and UCR, the Gehr Family Center for Health Systems Science along with the Los Angeles County Health Agency, Kaiser Permanente Southern California, the Department of Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, and RAND.
Our goals this year build on previous years’ symposia and our webinar series and include:
Increased awareness and expertise in designing and conducting dissemination, implementation, and improvement (DII) science in health and population health systems
Strengthened partnerships and collaborative activity linking research, policy, and practice communities
Strengthened uses of DII science in health care and population health priorities within Southern California
The Symposium program will include plenary presentations by regional policy and practice leaders; presentations of exemplar DII science; workshop and skill-building sessions focusing on DII science methods; poster sessions and guided poster tours; and informal networking opportunities. Opportunities to examine DII applications to specific health topics in a workshop format are available; please contact the planning committee via email to discuss your interest.
We encourage you to submit your work using DII science in poster sessions. There is an opportunity to share work in progress, as well as completed work. Guided poster tours as well as the open poster session offer the chance to share your work and ideas with others. Click on the link below to access the Call for Poster Abstracts and instructions for submitting abstracts. The deadline for poster abstract submission is Monday, April 30, 2018 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time.
There is no registration fee to attend, but space is limited and we encourage you to register early.
