Academic-Community Partnership Pilot Grants

  • Provide funding to encourage research that is developed in collaboration with community-based agencies.
  • Their purpose is to develop and expand academic relationships with community-based agencies to foster the development of a mutually-beneficial research agenda, and strengthen investigators’ capacity to conduct community-based research.
  • CTRI members with PI eligibility are eligible to apply; a support letter from an eligible community-based agency acknowledging the partnership is required.

Amount of funding:

$15,000 per proposal to be conducted during a 12-month funding period. Funds are to cover approved programmatic expenses of the Principal Investigator, their team and materials, as well as budget support for the community partner’s efforts.
