The ACTRI Center for Life Course Research will present an all-day symposium, “Adverse Childhood Experiences: Consequences Across the Life Course,” on Wednesday, May 17, at the Medical Education Telemedicine Building on the UC San Diego School of Medicine campus. Topics range from “Children Who Fail at School but Succeed at Life: Lessons from Lives Well-Lived” to “Childhood Trauma: Why You Should Care No Matter Who You Are, No Matter What You Do.” The symposium will conclude with an airing of the award-winning documentary, “Resilience.” Aimed at researchers across the campus, this event is co-sponsored by UC San Diego Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI), the Stein Institute for Research on Aging-Center for Healthy Aging, and the Center for Better Beginnings.
