We would like to thank Dr. Kimberly Hook for lending her expertise to the DISC Journal Club.  We discussed current mental health care gaps in Ukraine and how to improve access to evidence-based mental health interventions in low- and middle-income countries. . 

Interested in seed funding for your latest D&I project idea? The DISC is current accepting applications for Cycle 2022 Research Pilot GrantsThe purpose of this award is to support new projects as well as those new to D&I research to increase the dissemination, adoption, implementation, and sustainment of evidence‐based interventions by local health care organizations, providers, and systems in San Diego and Imperial County. Funded projects will advance implementation science and address barriers that inhibit rapid translation of evidence‐based interventions to patients or community members served by UC San Diego and other local health agencies and community‐based organizations. Grant Foundation's Research Practice Partnerships (RPP) website is a resource archive with tips and samples for anyone who wants to form, grow, or support a RPP. RPPs are designed to be long-term collaborations between researchers and practitioners that are mutually beneficial. Statistician, Research - The University of Califiornia Irvine's Program of Research in Translational Technology Enabling High Quality Care (ITEQC) is hiring a Statistician to assist with the Help@Hand Project. The Help@Hand Project is a statewide collaborative innovation project to bring technology-based mental health solutions to the public mental health system in order to improve efficiency, impact, and reach. Applicant must have at least a Bachelor's with preferably a major in Statistics and two years of professional statistical experience or ay equivalent combination of education and experience, experience working with SAS as well as report writing. Associate Director, Research - The University of Maryland, Baltimore's Behavioral Health Resource and Technical Assistance Program is accepting applications for an Associate Director within their Pharmacy school's Pharmaceutical Health Services Research division. They are looking for someone with at least a Bachelor's degree and with experience in program oversight and direct management. Experience with the Strategic Prevention Framework and the substance use prevention program. Project Director, Research -The University Research Company is seeking an Implementation Science and WASH Project Director. The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiense (WASH) Research and Learning project is a 5-year project that will address key global and country specific WASH issues through a consortium that leads collaborative implementation science research, specialized technical assistance to country programs, and supports the use of evidence for decision making. Research Facilitator - University of Pittsburgh is hiring a research facilitator at their Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Applicants with a Master's Degree in Public Health, Hospital/Health Administration, Epidemiology, or related field with experience in academic and or clinical research environment required. Program Manager - Medtronic is looking for a Scientific Communication Global Program Manager for their Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) Operation Unit. The program manager will lead the development and execution of the clinical evidence dissemination plan for one of the Endovenous businesses in PVH (e.g. Superficial Vein, Deep Vein or Embolization).
