Apply for ACTRI Membership

 

There are three types of membership:  General Membership, Associate Membership and Affiliate Membership. Requirements and benefits for all three are listed below. 

Membership Levels:

General Membership

Requirements (Any One of the Following)
Benefits
Access to ACTRI resources for advancing disease- or patient-oriented research, including:
  • Assistance with project design (in both pre- and post-funding stages), including selection of potential imaging and biomarker assessments, and biostatistics and bioinformatics support
  • Clinical research staffing support
  • Assistance with subject recruitment strategies, and Human Research Protection regulatory support
  • Introduction to potential community agency partners
  • Eligibility for co-funding by the ACTRI for services provided. Co-funding applies to peer reviewed and investigator initiated projects
  • Eligibility for ACTRI pilot project funds
  • Eligibility for CTSA-specific RFAs from the NIH
  • Access to ACTRI retreats, symposia, seminars, and sponsored conferences
  • Discounted tuition or fees for eligible ACTRI educational programs
  • Mentoring and career development support
  • ACTRI input for academic appointment and promotion files
  • Assistance with fund raising activities to support disease-related programs
  • Eligibility for support from the ACTRI in public announcement of research and clinical achievements

Associate Membership

Requirements (Any One of the Following)
  • Collaborate in research conducted by ACTRI General Members, defined as providing essential and sustained intellectual or practical help, recruiting patients and volunteers to clinical trials led by ACTRI members, or systematically assisting in the procurement of clinical specimens for translational and/or clinical research
  • Organize or play a substantive role in an essential ACTRI academic activity, such as an educational program or a core service
  • Participants in the CREST or Translational Science Certificate programs
  • Participate in ACTRI activities, such as ad hoc committees to review Pilot Grants
Benefits
Access to ACTRI resources for advancing disease- or patient-oriented research, including (Services involve cost recovery charges and are dependent on availability as determined by the respective Core Service Director):
  • Assistance with project design (in both pre- and post-funding stages), including selection of potential imaging and biomarker assessments, and biostatistics and bioinformatics support
  • Clinical research staffing support
  • Assistance with subject recruitment strategies, and Human Research Protection regulatory support
  • Introduction to potential community agency partners
  • Access to ACTRI retreats, symposia, seminars, and sponsored conferences

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership provides access to ACTRI mailings regarding ACTRI activities, including educational opportunities. Individuals from UC San Diego or any ACTRI Partner Institutions
are eligible for Affiliate membership.
