The 21st Annual San Diego Glycobiology Symposium (SDGS) and the conjoint NHLBI Programs of Excellence in Glycosciences (PEG) meeting (Inter PEG) will take place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in San Diego, California March 9-10, 2018 and March 10-11, 2018, respectively.
SDGS brings together researchers from the University of California and other institutions in California that have a major interest in glycobiology—this year with an expanded speaker list of leaders and advisors from the PEG. The objectives of SDGS are to exchange information on the latest advances in the field and to promote interactions among attendees from academia, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry. To maximize interactions, the setting is informal and all discourse is off-the-record.
The PEG program is a consortium of six NHLBI program project grants that run unique programs but share activities to attain greater efficiency and promote the field of glycosciences. The PEG meeting is designed to provide an opportunity for all PEG Program members to come together informally in a collaborative environment to share their latest discoveries, network wtih other investigators, and create new partnerships. Academic attendees of SDGS are invited to attend the scientific presentations of the six PEG sites on Sunday March 11, 2018.
