Next Generation Seminar (NextGen)

2019 NextGen Oral Presentation Award

The 2019 NextGen Oral Presentation Award
was presented to Dr. Meghan Altman on Friday, February 1, 2019 by NextGen Co-Chairs
Dr. Ariane Pessentheiner and Michael Vaill.

The Next Generation Seminar provides a mechanism for students and fellows with interest in the glycosciences to discuss their current research in a highly stimulating, non-intimidating environment. The model is based on the Gordon Research Seminar Series.

NextGen is only for students, fellows, and postdocs. All attendees are expected to submit an abstract. Young investigators with the support of leading scientists from the SDGS will select abstracts for 10-minute oral presentations.

Following the presentations, a social mixer for all participants will be held. All Faculty and SDGS attendees are encouraged to attend the social mixer to meet students and fellows from NextGen.
