The GRTC is proud to announce an updated fourth edition of Essentials of Glycobiology.  The book retains a broad focus and applicability to fields ranging from biology and medicine to chemistry and materials science and is still considered the field's most authoritative textbook, offering an overview suitable for advanced undergraduates and graduate students in molecular and cellular biology and biomedicine. The GRTC is an internationally recognized research unit with a 19-year track record of facilitating and enhancing research, training and collaboration among researchers who study the molecular and cellular biology of glycans and their roles in health and disease. GRTC members include faculty from academic institutions throughout California, with a vast range of research interests.
