Immunization RequirementsAugust 14th You have recently received an email at your UCSD email from Student Health Services. Please upload your information online.
Sign-On and Login Information
No later than July 20th These are key first steps in establishing access to your UC San Diego email account and other systems used by Medical Education.
Sibling Matching Questionnaire July 25th  The Sibling Matching Questionnaire will help us place you into your Academic Community.  You received a link to this form in your Welcome Email, and you will also find a direct link on your Orientation Forum page.
UC San Diego Student ID CardAugust 1stYou will need a UCSD Photo Triton Card ID. (You will also receive a Health Sciences ID after Orientation). To receive your Triton Card, submit your photo online. Please follow the guidelines listed on the page. You will receive your Triton card during O-Week if you have completed this task by August 1st.
White Coat Order FormASAP and No later than August 1st You must place your order NO LATER than August 1, 2019. You received a link to the order form in your Welcome Email. You will also find a direct link on your Orientation Forum page. Please fill out this form so that we are able to order your White Coat!
SOM Outdoor Experience August 23-25, 2019 Registration SOM Outdoor Experience course starts right before the formal Medical School Orientation and is a fantastic way to gear up for your experience as a medical student. This will be a great opportunity to meet your classmates and have some fun!  Space is limited - only 50 spots available for MS1's - so if you are interested, click on the link above and sign up!
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals Training  As part of orientation, BLS Training will take place on Thursday, August 29th from 9:15am to 12:00pm. Please bring a change of comfortable clothes.

Compliance for UC San Diego Health Sciences (HIPAA) RequirementsAugust 20th  You will need to complete a 2019 UCSD Health Annual Compliance Education (HIPAA compliance) training module via the online UCSD Learning Center website. In order to have access to the module, you will first need to activate your UC Learning Center website to account by simply logging in to their website.

  1. Go to
  2. Locate the "Sign on with:" pull down menu, then select "Active Directory"
  3. Use your Active Directory (AD) credentials to login into the system. ("Username" would be the first part of your UCSD email address … for instance, if your email address is ", then your username would be "medstudent18")

Once your account is activated, the Learning Center Staff can then assign the module to your account. To assist with this process, please email to let them know that your account is active and request the 2019 UCSD Health Annual Compliance Education module be assigned to you. The UC Learning Center cannot assign the module to you until your account has been activated. Once the module has been assigned to you, you should receive an email with a link to the module. Alternately, it should appear in the "Assigned Training" section on your Learning Center Home Screen.
