​General Information

The School of Medicine Commencement will take place on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM on the Commencement Lawn near the Medical Education and Telemedicine Building. As you know, this ceremony marks the culmination of years of intense study for our students and honors their achievement. The experience is especially meaningful for the students when the faculty attend in large numbers. Family members and friends of the graduates are always gratified to see the tradition of faculty in their academic attire as they accompany the graduates to the podium and through the ceremony. Graduation often is a very uplifting experience for faculty, as well, and serves as a reminder of why we all are at UCSD.

When and Where

All faculty who are attending the ceremony should plan to arrive at MET UPPER Auditorium by 9:00 AM on Sunday, June 5, 2022 to receive instructions regarding the Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.

Faculty Cap & Gown Orders

To attend the ceremony as a Faculty member or as a Faculty Hooder for one of our medical students, please plan to wear the appropriate academic regalia. Please fill out the Faculty Cap and Gown order form. Please place your academic regalia order by Monday, May 9th, to ensure we are able to order your specific hood color from your graduating school.
