Program Description

The practice of Rheumatology is constantly evolving, all the more so lately. Recent decades have witnessed dramatic and significant advances in the understanding of the immunopathogenesis of many rheumatic diseases. This has led to improvements in the diagnosis and stratification of patients, development of newer therapies and treatment strategies. Combined, this has improved outcomes for many of our patients. In order to transform this knowledge into better outcomes for patients, rheumatologists require ongoing education and insight regarding the newest developments in patient assessment as well as the benefits and risks of large and expanding number of potential therapeutic agents and treatment strategies.

The goal of this CME activity is to provide rheumatologists with current, evidence-based data that can be translated into clinical practice in order to maximize therapeutic goals and optimize healthcare outcomes for patients with various rheumatic diseases.

This one day, comprehensive program will utilize evidence-based data around the management of rheumatic diseases. Didactic teaching, along with interactive discussions and case-based discussion will enhance the relevancy providing rheumatologists with the ability to apply the latest data into clinical practice.

The target audience for this course includes physicians and allied health professionals specializing in rheumatology.
